Our Menu's

  • I loved how Refes kept it real—proper Kenyan flavours but done neatly. The oxtail wet fry was rich and soft, reminded me of home cooking. Service was laid back but warm, which fit the vibe perfectly. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Diani and looking for more than just the tourist beachfront spots.

  • I had the BBQ chicken wings, my wife took the pizza. The wings were excellent, smoky and well grilled. Pizza was good but not Italian thin crust, more hearty. Still, we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendly service. Good value for money, and the view is fantastic.

  • We stopped at Refes after a beach morning in Diani and honestly didn’t expect much—but wow. The oxtail (dry fry) was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the biryani came out steaming with just the right balance of spice. Portions were generous and the prices were very fair compared to other spots in the area. Service was a little slow at first, but once the food came, it was totally worth the wait. Definitely adding this to our regular Diani spots.
